KNOW OUR
In chemistry, a desiccant, moisture absorber, or drying agent is a substance used to remove moisture from air or some other substance, such as gases or solvents. Typical desiccant agents are substances that form hydrated and anhydride salts. The salt in its hydrated form is introduced into the container with the substance to be dried (for example air or gas), and this salt absorbs the moisture. while hydrating.
Desiccant agents are used in cardboard and plastic packaging (bag or jar) of many consumer or industrial items; such as footwear, electronics, textiles, pharmaceuticals; since they control the humidity of the container and thus manage to avoid deterioration of the product and the container.

Some typical drying agents are:
Silica Gel / Silica gel.
Bentonite or clay desiccant.
Calcium chloride.
Silica gel is the most widely used drying agent. This desiccant does not release any liquid or residue. They have great absorbent capacity and efficiency.
To choose the ideal desiccant, it is important to consider what use it will be given and the level of drying required.
Loose and packaged bulk desiccant agents are considered safe without having to wear gloves or other safety equipment. Many types of desiccants are also approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and can come into contact with foods and medicines. However, it should not be ingested, although it does not cause any toxic reaction.
Due to the drying properties of desiccants, handling desiccants with ungloved hands for long periods of time causes the skin to dry out. Always consult our silica gel safety sheet before use and read the warnings and handling instructions.
